That's Morgan just moments after we recorded a 40 minute session about Phillip's life for StoryCorps.
They were in the Capital Region as part of Family Heritage Day at the New York State Archives. I applied at the end of September and we were selected from a large pool of applicants to tell the story of Phillip, his work, and our lives with him. A fantastic facilitator was with us the whole time, monitoring recording levels and adding a few questions of her own at the end of the session. We started with me asking "who should we have in our minds as our audience for this?" Her answer was stunning to both of us: "yourselves in 20 years."
Our session will be available to anyone and forever: it is archived in the Library of Congress.
